Since we launched in 2016, HouseScan has worked to streamline the customer and snagging experience in the UK. We’ve done this through our focus on more detailed and accessible snagging reports, hiring inspectors with an unrivalled level of experience in home building and quality, as well equipping them with the most advanced technology on the market.  

While 2020 has provided significant challenges to businesses and individuals, we’ve also seen it as an opportunity to adapt, expand and offer what we can to aid homebuyers in an already intimidating position of purchasing a property. 

With the interests of new home buyers at the forefront of everything we do, it’s always been important to us that as many people as possible have access to our services. The decline in finish quality and increase in snag list size isn’t something unique to English homes – so naturally, our mission to counteract these falling standards can’t be restricted to them either. 

In June, we began accepting bookings and snagging inspector applications for properties in Scotland. By August, we had vetted and trained local inspectors with industry experience – offering Scottish homebuyers access to a level of support, quality and satisfaction that you can only get with a HouseScan.

HouseScan’s ongoing success continues to confirm and encourage our work and growth. With snagging inspections happening full time across England, Wales and now Scotland – we’re already setting our sights on further expansion to offer our services to even more households and developments in more of the nation and eventually across the sea to Northern Ireland in the coming months. 

You can check availability in your area and schedule a HouseScan for your new build property by entering your postcode into our booking system. Slots are opened regularly with booking available for usually one to two months in advance.
