Our priority is putting the safety of both our inspectors and our customers at the forefront of everything we do.
In following the latest government guidance and remaining cautious throughout the rise of the Omicron varient, we’re updating our guidelines to include the following requests:
We insist (unless otherwise exempt) that clients should wear a mask for the duration of the inspection. We will be asking the same of our inspectors. Anyone present in the property must be wearing a mask at all times covering their mouth and nose whenever they’re in contact with the inspector. As much as possible, the person must be on a different floor to the inspector, aside from when granting access.
There should be no more than one other adult in the property at the time of the inspection and they should remain in a separate room as much as they can. Given that almost everyone will be working from home from today in the UK, we won’t cancel the inspection if this isn’t possible, we just ask that the inspector is alone in each room as much as possible.
No contractors, site team, tradesmen or workmen are permitted to be inside the property during the inspection.
If anyone in the household is exhibiting any symptoms or a positive test result, we must be alerted immediately and the inspection rescheduled. Our inspectors are regularly taking rapid fire tests to maintain the safety of both themselves and our clients.
If these guidelines aren’t met, we’re instructing our inspectors to abort the inspection and leave the property - at which point our aborted inspection fee will be applicable. See our terms & conditions for more information.
If you are medically exempt from wearing a face covering, this must be communicated to the Housescan team before the inspection, to ensure that there’s no confusion on the day of the inspection.
If you or anyone within the household has had any symptoms or tested positive for Covid-19 within the last 14 days, the inspection must be postponed. If any of our inspectors or anyone in their household develops any symptoms then we will postpone your inspection, or where possible, make alternative arrangements for another inspector to complete the inspection. We reserve the right to cancel the inspection at any time.
HouseScan offers the UK’s most comprehensive professional snagging report. We use our vast experience and a wide range of high tech equipment which includes a thermal imaging camera to ensure your new home is to the quality you expected and were promised.
Our goal is to achieve higher level snagging reports on issues that are usually out of sight to ensure our inspection report covers every finer detail. Hiring an independent snagging company will provide a range of services that cover a full inspection of internal and external, thermal imaging scan, comprehensive report and lifetime support and advice.
We only employ people with hands-on experience in constructing new build homes. This is to ensure our inspectors know exactly what snagging is and what they’re looking for. Having an expert who operates with specialist equipment and a trained eye allows for a quality and industry-leading professional snagging report.
Our team of professional snagging inspectors find an average of 150+ defects in new build homes.
Unlike other snagging companies who use generic snagging software such as site audit pro, word and other basic applications we have created our very own inspection software. This is to ensure our reports are the most comprehensive and clear-cut.
